Description

Pentominium is a 122-story residential building under development in Dubai Marina, Dubai. The project is being developed by Trident International Holdings.

Features:

  • Freehold Residential Building
  • The Pentominium will be one of the tallest residential towers in the world if it is ever completed
  • The mainly southern flank consists of a series of balconies and a vertical layer of glass to cut down on solar gain
  • The glass becomes wider towards the top of the building and acts as a wind-break to protect the balconies from the higher-velocity winds at greater heights
  • On the northerly flank, apartments alternate with sky gardens, creating a staggered shape
  • Facilities are promised to include a sky lounge, a business center, a cigar lounge, a sky pool, and an observation deck all above 400 meters

More information about Pentominium Tower:

If Pentominium is ever finished, it will stand at a height of 516 meters, making it among the tallest residential skyscrapers in the world. The structure, created by Dr. Andrew Bromberg of Aedas Architects, features two distinct sides centered around a common core. A series of balconies and a vertical layer of glass that reduces solar gain make up the majority of the southern flank. As it gets wider toward the top of the structure, the glass serves as a windbreak, shielding the balconies from higher-velocity winds.

  • Apartments and sky gardens alternate on the northern flank, forming a dizzying shape.
  • Above 400 meters, amenities such as a sky lounge, business center, cigar lounge, sky pool, and observation deck are offered.
  • Although completion was scheduled for 2015, the project was shelved in 2011 when the structure, which rose 516 meters, reached level 24.
