Despite being announced in 2006, the project was never completed.
The plans included for a 52-story, 251-meter hotel, a 65-story, 351-meter apartment complex, and a 79-story, 351-meter business building.
The architect gave the following description of the construction: "The Signature Towers tower above the city, recognizable in both their grandeur and ambition, producing a distinctive twisted, interconnected silhouette that punctures the skyline. They serve as the centerpiece for Dubai's new Business Bay." Office, hotel, and residential services are "woven" together in the three towers in an incredibly flexible way.
